University Of Auckland
Law Tutoring for UOA Students
Challenges Auckland Law Students Often Face
We provide the framework, resources, and continuous feedback loop that university lectures often skip, operating independently of any university to deliver a more flexible and focused learning experience.
The Problem
- Structuring Legal Arguments: Many students lose marks not because they don’t know the law, but because they don’t know how to structure answers properly, apply legal principles clearly, or argue both sides of a proposition.
- Complex Case Law and Readings: First year coursework often feels like a wall of technical jargon. It’s common to pour over a single judgment multiple times and still struggle to isolate the core legal principles or the 'why' behind the court's decision.
- GPA Requirement for Part II: Because LAW131 and LAW141 are double weighted, even small mistakes can significantly impact progression.
What We Offer
- Weekly Tutorials: Structured sessions that simplify complex legal concepts and train you to analyse problems with clarity and confidence.
- Proprietary Course Manuals: Build strong foundations early by learning how legal writing, issue-spotting, and exams actually work.
- Practice and Feedback: Regular practice questions with personalised feedback to improve your legal reasoning.
- Access to Materials & Recordings: Revisit concepts anytime and reinforce your understanding at your own pace.
