Victoria University Of Wellington
Law Tutoring for VUW Students
Typical challenges for Wellington law students
We provide the structure, strategy, and targeted feedback that large lectures and fast-paced tutorials often can’t fully deliver, operating independently of any university to ensure a more tailored and focused learning experience.
The Problem
- Structuring Legal Arguments: Many students understand the law but lose marks because their answers aren’t clearly structured. Tutors help students organise their responses and present balanced, persuasive arguments.
- Complex Case Law and Readings: First year legal readings can be dense and technical. Tutors guide students in identifying key legal principles, understanding judicial reasoning, and making complex judgments easier to digest.
- Exam Technique and Time Pressure: Time management and issue spotting are common challenges in exams. Tutors show students how to prioritise effectively and structure high quality answers under time pressure.
What We Offer
- Weekly Tutorials: Interactive sessions that simplify complex topics, sharpen legal writing, and build critical thinking skills under exam conditions.
- Proprietary Course Manuals: Structured guides featuring summaries, model frameworks, and practical tips to strengthen your legal foundations and exam performance.
- Practice and Feedback: Enhance your legal reasoning with regular practice questions and targeted feedback to help you improve efficiently.
- Access to Materials & Recordings: Revisit tutorial content anytime with full access to our resource library, letting you study at your own pace.
